Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Buffalo with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in New York may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 amโ7 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (716) 895-1404. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is slavic-bazzar.edan.io, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 140 reviews, which is a strong result for a specialty food store in Buffalo and suggests consistent service.
Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Buffalo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Small Old time Polish/Slavic deli. All kinds of Goodies from Pierogies to Deli meats and sausage. Stop in and enjoy those fresh aromas that you remember ed as a child.

I am Ukrainian and I wouldn't shop here...stuff under the deli counter is spoiled, no selection and they don't want to cash you out. I left my stuff on the counter and went to the one in the airport plaza...

One of a kind place to get old country Slavic, Ukraine and polish foods. Don't forget to check out the frozen section. Delightful place for food adventurers as well!

Very nice little European grocery store. I myself grew up in Buffalo NY. So I've been going here, for many years. This is one of the only places in wny, where you can get European candies, jams, sausages, liquor candies, small pierogi etc.. yes the store is small and cramped, yes some of the items are older/expired.. maybe they have not had a chance to go thru everything..and discard/reduce prices because there are 2 people working... It's not a tops/Wegmans... Prices are wonderful! $2 for pasta, $4 for meat worth it! The owner is friendly, register ladies are always friendly, even if you don't speak Ukrainian/Russian/Polish.. I speak German, and was able to find tons of German food here, candies, sauces, pastas, jarred food etc.. wonderful little place!! One of a kind, with great staff. Please stay open,so future generations can enjoy this little European slice of heaven.

Cannot give zero stars, so one. Dirty. Cramped. 2 employees on-site, one washing dishes in the back, the other doing paperwork in the office - nobody paying attention to customers. Merchandise thrown everywhere without any rhyme or reason, most of it not taken out of shipping cartons. Lots of expired merchandise, including sausages expired in May 2025. They sell the expired stuff with a discount, because they don't care if people get sick, as long as they get something in the cash register, even if it's a fraction of the original price. Yuck. Never again, and I very strongly discourage everybody from wasting the gas it takes to drive to this place. Definitely do not eat anything that comes out of there because there's no telling how long it's been sitting around and how many times the expiration date stickers may have been changed. Beware - it looks good, but odds are your likely to end up with food poisoning ...
